Small Town Charm, Big City Service

With meeting spaces for over 1620 guests, Brooks is ready for your event regardless of size. Brooks and district offers twelve different accommodation providers ranging from charming and intimate bed and breakfasts to full service hotels. We also offer catering, business services, advertising, gifting and other professional services.

Education

Brooks has two high schools, two junior high schools, three elementary schools, two primary schools, and two alternative schools. Another elementary school is being built in the Upland area, and will be completed around 2015. The schools are operated by Grasslands Public Schools and Christ the Redeemer School Division. Brooks also has a satellite campus of Medicine Hat College.

Good location

Just to the north is Dinosaur Park, a World Heritage Site and the world's largest deposit of late cretaceous period dinosaur fossils. To the south is Lake Newell, the largest lake in southern Alberta and a major attraction for the camper, fisherman, boater and sailor.

There are lots of amazing places to go and things to do in Brooks: Museum, Lake Newell Resort, Kinbrook Island Park, LOCAL GOLF COURSES, Dinosaur Provincial Park, Aqueduct, Camping, Churches, Concerts.

Arts

The Brooks Public Library, with a collection of over 50,000 items, serves both the City of Brooks and the County of Newell

Culture

Brooks has won the Communities in Bloom competition four times in a row. Brooks has won Tidiness and Community Involvement Awards at a national level.
